Smarginatura (literally dissolving margins or dissolving boundaries) isn’t just a word I borrowed; it’s a way of working, of thinking, of being. For me, dissolving boundaries means connecting dots that others might not even see, colouring outside the lines (but always with the true colours of things), and keeping people and shared goals at the centre.It’s also a reminder that our actions don’t live in neat little boxes. Every choice, every collaboration, every project ripples out, touching not just our work, but our communities, and our wider lives too. That awareness of impact is what drives me: not perfection, but presence, intention, and care.

Hi, I’m Bori Csala, a Brussels-based non-profit professional, association strategist, and DEI consultant who’s been living and breathing this world for the past decade.Over the last ten years, I’ve had the joy (and let’s be honest, sometimes the chaos) of working with international associations, trade organizations, and companies on everything from governance and membership growth to social impact projects that actually change lives.What keeps me going? A stubborn belief that impact-driven organizations can truly shift the needle for the better. My sweet spot is turning big, bold missions into real, tangible goals and building bridges between the for-profit and non-profit worlds.That’s why I started Smarginatura Consultancy: to dissolve boundaries, connect the dots that don’t always want to be connected, and help people and organizations achieve the goals that matter most.
